The Grand at Clitheroe Ltd. has committed itself to raising awareness and funds to deliver daily meals to chronically hungry children in their local schools, based in Eldoret, Kenya.
We first encountered Danson living on the rubbish dump in Eldoret. He was addicted to glue and had little hope of a future...
The first grader is a film based on a true story. Not only is this a moving film, it is also based in one of our Solomon project schools.
The Solomon project is advocating the needs of some of Kenya’s poorest children. It works in partnership with Mary’s Meals, providing meals to chronically hungry children in their local school. By using local produce and community volunteers we are able to feed one child in school for a whole year for just £17.00.
The Grand has a vision to offer a ‘virtual window’ into the real lives of those facing adverse poverty around the world, with a view to bringing change. We have begun to do this through ‘The Solomon Project’ and are keen to raise awareness and funds for this great initiative. We are actively engaged in promoting the project in schools and through events hosted in the Grand Venue. We feel it our privilege and duty to share the wonderful work of The Solomon Project and are excited to see where this journey takes us.
